Directed by Shiv Rawail, the spy thriller Alpha starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari and Bobby Deol, is releasing on July 3. As the Alpha teaser was finally introduced, viewers got their first glimpse of Alia as Sita, aka the female soldier who was trained to kill.
Bobby plays her father, who has trained her since a young age. After the trailer was released officially by Yash Raj Films (YRF), stars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan also reacted to Alia and Bobby’s first glimpses in the upcoming Hindi film. Here’s what they had to say.
SRK, Amitabh laud Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol in Alpha
On social media, both Shah Rukh and veteran actor Amitabh shared their feelings after seeing of Alpha. SRK, who plays RAW agent Pathaan, welcomed Alia into the YRF Spy Universe as he wrote, “Well done Alia, in years from breaking hearts and now to breaking bones your skill set keeps expanding.” The superstar also hoped that the film would win hearts and leave some villains standing for the sequel.
He went on to cheer Alia on by saying, “Go get them Sigma girl!” The actor also sent love to ‘Lord Bobby’ who plays Alia’s father and told him that he’s so good when he is bad. Shah Rukh also wished director Shiv and the team of Alpha well.
Meanwhile, Amitabh kept it short and simple as he shared the Alpha teaser and posted, “love and wishes to my adorable Alia.” Besides Alia and Bobby, the spy film also stars Sharvari and Anil Kapoor; their looks will likely be shared in another teaser.

Alpha is going to be the first female-led film in the universe and was announced two years ago in July 2024. The previous agents in the YRF Spy Universe include Salman Khan’s RAW agent, Hrithik Roshan’s Major Kabir Dhaliwal, and, of course, SRK’s Pathaan. Alpha is co-written by Soumil Shukla, Shridhar Raghavan, Uday Chopra and Ishita Moitra. Hrithik has been rumoured to return in a cameo.
The official description of the Hindi film shared by YRF states that Alpha will present an edgy origin story of a girl raised and built to kill. In the teaser, Baba (Bobby) can be seen tattooing his daughter Sita (Alia) with the alpha symbol when she was little. Now that she is 18, he wants her to officially start her missions as a trained assassin.
