Danger lies ahead for Arisu after he is separated from Usagi in Alice in Borderland Season 3. New clips released by Netflix show Kento Yamazaki’s Arisu stating, “I don’t care if I die.
If there is a chance I can save Usagi, I’ll take it.” After their escape the last time, he must return to find his love Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) again. Based on Haro Aso’s manga, Alice in Borderland will once again be directed by Shinsuke Sato. Check out the video below!
Arisu returns to Borderland for Usagi
On X (formerly Twitter), the new scenes of Season 3 were posted with the caption, “Welcome back to Borderland, Arisu. Alice in Borderland returns with Season 3 on September 25, exclusively on Netflix. #AliceinBorderland3 #AiBJoker.” The scenes depict Arisu trying to get in touch with Usagi, and once he finds her missing, he is willing to enter ‘Hell’ through Borderland again.
The official synopsis for the third season states, “After Usagi is abducted and left unconscious by a mysterious scholar obsessed with the afterlife, Arisu returns to the perilous “Borderland” to save her. Teaming up with new players, they must face the yet-unseen “Joker” stage in a desperate bid to find a way back to their original world.”

Speaking about Season 3, Kento revealed, “Since Arisu and Usagi are split into separate teams, I found it interesting to see the different atmospheres and character dynamics within each group. Over the seasons, the characters have become so beloved by fans, and I think that’s why the audience can really empathize with them during the life-or-death moments.”
Tsuchiya added, “Everything Usagi has experienced in the past seasons is now part of her story, so whenever I needed to, I would go back and rewatch Seasons 1 and 2. With Season 3 featuring an original story, I felt it was important to approach this role with everything that’s happened so far in mind.”
