Alia Bhatt Shines at Mumbai Durga Puja, Poses for Selfies with Devotees

Mumbai, Maharashtra: Bollywood star Alia Bhatt brought extra sparkle to the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samity pandal with her radiant presence.

On Monday afternoon, she graced the pandal dressed in a vibrant fuchsia pink saree, draped in the traditional Bengali style, paired with a complementary blue blouse. Her look was completed with her hair neatly tied in a bun adorned with fresh flowers.

Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, a close friend, ensured Alia had a smooth darshan amidst the bustling crowd. Her arrival created a stir among devotees, many of whom were excited to see her. Alia happily engaged with her fans, posing for photographs and even taking selfies, much to their delight.

Just days before, Alia’s husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, had also visited the same pandal. Dressed in a striking red-and-gold kurta with white pyjamas, Ranbir sought blessings from Goddess Durga. He was seen interacting with the paparazzi and catching up with Ayan Mukerji. A memorable moment from his visit, which quickly went viral, was his impromptu singing session with singer Harshdeep Kaur. Ranbir joined Harshdeep in singing ‘Kabira’, even encouraging the audience to sing along, creating a festive atmosphere.

Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Sharodotsava, is an annual Hindu festival celebrating Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. It is believed that during this time, the Goddess descends to her earthly abode to bless her devotees. The festival culminates on Vijayadashami (Dussehra), marking the triumph of good over evil.
