New Delhi: Carlos Alcaraz won the latest edition of his intriguing rivalry with Jannik Sinner to capture the US Open again and took him back to the top of the ATP rankings.
The Spaniard won 6-2 3-6 6-1 6-4 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday to increase his Grand Slam trophy count to six with his second US Open title.
The 22-year-old won his first title in New York in 2022 that helped him reach the summit of the rankings for the first time. His latest triumph made him the second youngest man after Bjron Borg to win six majors in the professional era and ended Sinner’s 27-match winning run at hardcourt majors.
