Actually, director Priyadarshan’s thriller film Haiwaan has got a big non-theatrical deal. According to a report by Box Office Worldwide, the non-theatrical rights of the film have been sold to Sony for Rs 80 crore, which includes satellite, digital and music. Many OTT platforms were coming forward for the digital rights of this film, but Sony Network had made the highest bid. According to the reports going on in the media, this film is a remake of the South movie Oppam, which was directed by Priyadarshan. This Malayalam film got a great response at the box office. Mohanlal was in the lead role in this. At the same time, Mohanlal will also be seen doing a cameo in Akshay’s Haiwaan.
