In a recent address at the ‘Brahmin Conference’ held at the Samajwadi Party headquarters in Lucknow, party president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the alleged theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
He asserted that those who have stolen ‘Ram’s wealth’ will not be victorious, as per the will of Lord Ram.
Yadav accused the BJP of apprehending minor employees while shielding the major culprits involved in the donation theft. He remarked, “BJP members are currently hiding their faces. While the donation box is locked, they have created a tunnel from below. The BJP has committed a grave sin by stealing offerings meant for Lord Ram.”
He further stated, “Those who have committed this theft will face the consequences of their great sin. The truth is that the scale of this theft is unimaginable, and it is unlikely that these minor employees could have orchestrated it alone.”
Akhilesh also took a jab at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, noting that despite the Chief Minister’s frequent visits to Ayodhya, he seemed unaware of the donation theft. He criticized the BJP for demanding receipts from Samajwadi Party members for their contributions to the Ram Temple, calling it a disgraceful act, as Hindu traditions do not involve issuing receipts for donations.
He targeted Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, suggesting that his recollection of receipts stems from his involvement in a fake receipt scam, which ultimately led to his electoral defeat. Additionally, Yadav mentioned complaints regarding E20 petrol, claiming that significant irregularities are occurring in this matter.
He elaborated on his view of the BJP, stating that the acronym stands for ‘Corrupt, Oppressive, and Sinful,’ reflecting his belief that BJP members embody these traits. Yadav also accused the party of widespread corruption in the construction of the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway and questioned the quality of other expressways built during the BJP’s tenure.
He concluded by asserting that the current government has perpetrated unprecedented injustice against the public, claiming that such deception and mistreatment have never been witnessed before in the state’s history.
