Why was NBK’s ‘Akhand 2’ postponed?

According to reports, the main reason for pushing the release date of ‘Akhand 2: Taandavam’ is a court case related to Eros International Media Limited in Tamil Nadu. As part of the legal proceedings, the Madras High Court has currently put a stay on the release of the film. According to the Cinema Express report, this case is related to an earlier arbitration award, which went in favor of Eros International. According to this decision, the company was to receive the amount of Rs 28 crore and 14% interest on it. Eros International had filed a petition in the court demanding to stop the release of the film. The court has ordered that until the producers make full payment of the dues to Eros International, the film will not be allowed to be released on any medium – theatre, digital platform or satellite.
