Akanksha Chamola Says She Does Not Stress Easily While Moving From ‘Lock Upp’ to ‘Indian Game Show’

Actress Akanksha Chamola, who drew considerable attention during her stint on the reality show ‘Lock Upp’, says she does not allow the pressure of reality television and game shows to overwhelm her.

Speaking exclusively to IANS about managing stress while participating in multiple shows, Akanksha said she is enjoying the experience of moving from one project to another. She will next be seen on ‘Indian Game Show’, hosted by Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa.

Akanksha said people around her tend to worry more than she does, adding that she generally remains calm in high-pressure situations.

“I don’t normally get stressed. I am one of those people. Whenever I come somewhere, people get stressed. You must be aware. The whole world knows. Everyone takes more stress from me. I don’t. So, this is even more exciting for me. I am coming to one show after another,” she told IANS.

The actress also spoke about the contrasting experiences of ‘Lock Upp’ and ‘Indian Game Show’. According to her, while the former was centred on competing to emerge as the winner, the new show offers a lighter and more playful format.

“I am getting to do something different. Here, we are having fun. There, it was a fight to become a winner. Here, it is a fight to become a loser. This is the difference between the two game shows,” she said.

Akanksha had made headlines during ‘Lock Upp’ after revealing that she was headed for a divorce from actor Gaurav Khanna. She had also spoken about being bisexual and having had relationships with women before her marriage.

‘Indian Game Show’ is expected to premiere on August 24, 2026, on Sony Entertainment Television at 9 p.m. The show will feature celebrities taking part in high-energy physical challenges while competing in a fun-filled environment.
