The video of the debate between Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and IPS Anjana Krishna on illegal mining is viral. After all, who is this lady officer, who refused to accept even Pawar’s identity? What was the reason, know the answers to all such questions and watch the video…
Solapur. The politics of Maharashtra is currently hot over a viral video. The video is from Solapur district, where the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and the recently posted female IPS officer Anjana Krishna argued on illegal soil excavation. As soon as the video went viral, questions started to arise in the political corridors – did the deputy CM try to pressurize the lady officer, or was the matter something else?
Who is IPS Anjana Krishna?
Anjana Krishna is a 2023 batch IPS officer and is currently posted as DSP in Karmala in Solapur district. Anjana, who hails from Kerala, secured Air-355 rank in UPSC exam 2022. Anjana coming from an ordinary family is being identified for honesty and tough decisions.

Ajit Pawar and women officer clashed on which issue in Solapur?
On August 31, a complaint of illegal excavation of Murum soil was received in the name of road construction in Kurdu village of Solapur. On reaching the spot, Anjana Krishna started action. Then the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) worker called Deputy CM Ajit Pawar directly and gave Anjana to Anjana.
Why did the IPS not recognize Ajit Pawar?
Anjana Krishna did not recognize the voice of Ajit Pawar, who called himself “I am speaking the Deputy Chief Minister” on the phone and asked him to call him directly on his number. This answer enraged Pawar and said-“I have so much courage? I will take action against you.” Pawar then made a video call to him and asked him to stop the action.
Was there really pressure to stop action?
NCP MP Sunil Tatkare says that Ajit Pawar’s intention was not to stop the action, but perhaps the party workers had to be pacified. But due to the leaking of the video, the matter has now been involved in controversies.
Why did there be a ruckus in political corridors?
The permission of the Gram Panchayat was cited, but no official documents could be produced. In such a situation, the action of IPS Anjana Krishna is being considered correct. On the other hand, the angry style of the deputy CM is raising many questions-
- Can administrative decisions stop under power pressure?
- Did the strictness of the female officer pass on Pawar?
- Or was it just a political drama?
