Ajit Pawar death news: The sudden death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has sent shockwaves across the political and film fraternities. The senior leader died in a tragic plane crash on Wednesday morning in Baramati, leaving the nation in mourning.

Several prominent personalities took to social media to express their grief, including actor Riteish Deshmukh and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

Riteish Deshmukh said he was “deeply shocked and terribly heartbroken” by the news. Remembering Pawar as one of Maharashtra’s most influential leaders, the actor highlighted his sharp wit, firm leadership style, and personal warmth. In a heartfelt note, he wrote, “Deeply shocked and terribly heartbroken to learn that we have lost Ajit Dada in a tragic accident. One of Maharashtra’s most dynamic leaders, he had zero tolerance for non-performance and constantly pushed and inspired those around him to excel. He never minced his words, his wit was unmatched, and he was deeply loved across the state.”

The actor also recalled his personal interactions with Pawar, calling them memorable and kind. He added that the leader’s untimely demise has created “an irreplaceable void” and extended condolences to the Pawar family, loved ones, and supporters across the state.

Echoing similar sentiments, Telugu superstar and politician Pawan Kalyan also expressed deep sorrow. Taking to X, he wrote, “Deeply shocked by the tragic news of the passing of the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister… Sri Ajit Dada Pawar ji, in a devastating plane crash today.” He praised Pawar’s dedication to public service and said his contributions to Maharashtra’s welfare and development would always be remembered. Pawan Kalyan further offered his condolences to Pawar’s family, admirers, and party workers during what he described as a time of “immense grief”.

Ajit Pawar dies in plane crash

According to official reports, Ajit Pawar was travelling in a chartered aircraft that crashed during landing in Baramati. Along with him, his personal security officer PN Jadhav, Pinki Mali, and two crew members were also on board. Sadly, there were no survivors. The pilot, Sahil Madaan, also lost his life in the accident.
