Ajit Pawar death: Prelim report indicates two key factors behind Baramati plane crash

Baramati: Days after former Maharashtra Deputy CM and four others died in a terrible plane crash in Baramati, the preliminary investigation report has been released. The incident that took place on January 28 sent shockwaves across the country.

According to sources, the probe revealed two important factors in the incident. Among these are the decision to attempt landing despite low visibility on the runway and a technical malfunction of the aircraft. The officials have also recovered data from the black box. The authorities will release the full investigation report after the data recovery is completed.

Sharad Pawar meets Ajit Pawar’s wife and sons

On Wednesday, NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar went to the house of his nephew Ajit Pawar. At the time, Sunetra Pawar, wife of Ajit Pawar and now Deputy CM, her sons Parth Pawar and Jay Pawar were present. Notably, this was the first time that Sharad Pawar and Sunetra Pawar met after the latter took the oath of office. The meeting lasted for a few hours. Yugendra Pawar, Rohit Pawar and son Jay Pawar are constantly sharing posts on social media in memory of Ajit Pawar.

Ajit Pawar spoke to cousin before crash

Notably, Ajit Pawar spoke to his cousin and party worker Shrijit Pawar shortly before the accident. Shrijit Pawar played the recording of his conversation to the media persons on Tuesday. He added that the call was made after he shared a message with Ajit Pawar about local election-related issues.

As per Shrijit Pawar , he messaged Ajit Pawar suggesting that the Mali community be given representation in district council elections. Ajit Pawar had then called him directly to clarify the matter from the aircraft, ‘The Indian Express’ reported.

“He told me that we are taking all communities along with us. I wanted the world to know that till his last breath, he worked with everyone, across caste and religion. ‘We must move forward taking everyone together’ was his last message and his last voice,” the paper quoted Shrijit Pawar as saying further.
