Son Of Sardaar 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Ajay Devgn’s most anticipated movie of the year Son Of Sardaar 2 is currently facing a big challenge to increase the viewers’ footfall to the cinema halls. After maintaining a below expected pace of numbers in the first six days, the movie is still struggling to cross the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s romantic comedy drama is a sequel to his movie Son Of Sardaar, which was well-received at the box office.
Son Of Sardaar 2 was released on August 1, 2025, after pushing its date from July 25, 2025. The makers of the movie made a smart move to postpone the release date after seeing Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara become a blockbuster movie. However, this strategy of the makers had not helped them shine at the box office chart.
Regional cities like Jaipur and Lucknow dominated the overall occupancy charts with 16% and 14% viewership, respectively. However, the NCR region saw 11% occupancy rate. Other cities like Surat (3.00%), Kolkata (3.50%), and Bhopal (3.50%) showed comparatively weaker footfall.
Son Of Sardaar 2 Budget:
The multistarrer movie with popular actors like Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, Kubbra Sait, Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal and late actor Mukul Dev was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 150 crore. With such low numbers at the box office, the desire to cover the production cost looks like a far fetched dream for the makers of the movie.

Son Of Sardaar 2 Challenges:
Helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the comedy movie is struggling to create its space among the top listers at the box office due to solid competition from three Bollywood movies. First is Mohit Suri’s directorial starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Saiyaara had captivated audiences’ hearts in the first week only, making it an overseas blockbuster. Next in line is Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Dhadak 2, which is gaining attention from the viewers as well. Lastly, the animated release Mahavatar Narsimha is also doing exceptionally well at the box office.
