India’s legendary telecom company Bharti Airtel Limited has presented tremendous results of the first quarter (April to June) of FY 2025-26. In this quarter, the company got a consolidated net profit of ₹ 5,948 crore, which is 43% more than the same quarter last year.
Airtel’s consolidated revenue has also reached ₹ 49,463 crore with a strong lead. This figure was ₹ 38,506 crore a year ago i.e. in the quarter of June 2024. Accordingly, on an annual basis, revenue has been recorded by 28%. The company’s results have been better not only annually, but also on the quarterly basis. This time the revenue has seen a 3.3% increase compared to the January-March 2025 quarter.
Airtel dominates profits
This time in the telecom sector, Airtel has shown a strong lead in terms of profits. In the quarter of April to June 2025, Airtel has a net profit of ₹ 5,948 crore, which is 43% more than a profit of ₹ 4,159 crore in the same quarter last year.
On the other hand, if you talk about Geo Financial, then the company’s profit was ₹ 324.66 crore in this quarter. Last year, Jio had a profit of ₹ 312.63 crore in the same period. That is, Jio’s profits have only increased slight. Comparing the data, it is clear that Airtel has left Jio behind 18.3 times in profit this time.
Airtel’s reign in revenue
In this quarter, Bharti Airtel has also performed tremendously on the earnings front. During April-June 2025, the company obtained a revenue of ₹ 49,463 crore from its business. It is 28% more than ₹ 38,506 crore found in the same period last year. The company’s earnings have also increased by 3.3% on the quarterly basis.
On the other hand, the revenue of Geo Financial was ₹ 612.46 crore in this quarter. This is a growth of 46.6% as compared to last year’s ₹ 417.82 crore. That is, the growth of Jio is definitely fast in terms of percentage, but if we talk about total revenue, then Airtel’s scale is about 80 times larger than Jio Jio Financial.
Airtel’s earnings are not limited to India only. Its revenue in the country increased by 2.3% in this quarter, while Africa recorded a growth of 6.7% (depending on Constant Currency). This clearly shows that Airtel’s global reach and hold in the market is constantly getting stronger.
Airtel’s trusted performance in the stock market too
On 5 August 2025, the company’s stock climbed 0.8% to close at ₹ 1,930 on 5 August 2025. That is, the company maintained stability in the market. In the last six months, Airtel’s stock has given a return of 16.25%. At the same time, on an annual basis, it has a great lead of 31.70%, which makes it a strong option for investors. Although there has been a slight decline of 5.09% in the stock in the last one month, this fluctuations can be considered part of the normal move of the stock market.
