While the prices of flights running between India and Dubai are skyrocketing in the summer peak season, Air India and Air India Express are offering the cheapest tickets on this route. Passengers are getting these tickets cheaper up to 50 percent. However, people are choosing this option despite cheap tickets. The reason for this is the problem of continuous flight cancellation and delay.
After the plane crash held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on June 12, people are avoiding traveling on Air India flight and choosing other options. This incident happened when Air India flight AI171 was flying from Ahmedabad to London. In this crash, 241 people present inside the plane were killed. After the accident, many such videos have come out on social media, in which complaints of Air India flights, spreading air conditioning systems, delays and cancellations have come to light.
Air India also accepted the problem?
In a statement to the Khaleej Times, the spokesperson of Air India Express admitted that some operational problems like any fast growing airline can sometimes come. However, every case is taken seriously. He said that we are fully committed to providing maintenance and service to improve the trusted of our services and to improve the experience of travelers.
Problems vs cheap fare
According to an earlier report by the Khaleej Times, the airline faced obstructions on several routes this month. In one case, passengers in flight from UAE to India complained that the air conditioner was not working, causing the cabin to become very hot and uncomfortable. In another incident, the flight of Air India Express going to Dubai was stopped on the runway for more than six hours, while the coming aircraft had reached on time. Travel agents and local people have expressed concern about delay in flights, technical problems and goods handling. Especially due to the video put on social media, some UAE-residents have now become more cautious in booking flights.
