New Delhi: Earlier in the month, NxtQuantum Shift Technologies introduced a pair of affordable smartphones, the Pulse priced at Rs 4,499 and the Nova, priced at Rs 7,499. If you are looking for a secondary device, a spare for when your primary device needs repairs, or a basic smartphone for those who do not use too many features, or even a cheap daily driver, then the Pulse is a great option. This is a utilitarian device with a 6.7 inch screen, and a 50 MP primary shooter. The device can be picked up for Rs 4,499 at a Flipkart Flash Sale on 29 July, starting at 12:00 hours IST.

NxtQuantum is working closely with Google for the OS, which is free of bloatware, ensuring that all the data from Indian users stays within the country, on servers approved by the MEITY. The device focuses on the chipset, display, camera and battery, the factors that smartphone users care about the most. The Pulse is powered by the Unisoc T615 processor, supported by the Arm Mali G57 MP1 GPU, scoring 262K on the Antutu benchmark. The 90Hz display is crisp and vivid, with a typical brightness of 450 nits. The 50MP primary camera uses Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS), with the front camera capturing 5MP images. The device is also sleek and lightweight, so easy to carry around.

The AI+ Pulse smartphone, among the cheapest available in the market, was the first step in the vision by NxtQuantum Shift technologies to develop the component infrastructure in India. This is an ambitious undertaking, with an effort to differentiate the models beyond merely swapping out the back panels. The brand is the brainchild of Former Head of RealMe and Honor in India, Madhav Seth. The idea is that the benefits of economies of scale are not funneled out of the country, with consumers in India getting devices at more affordable rates.
