AI education For Class 3 students In India: Artificial Intelligence will now be taught to children in India. The most important thing is that this study will start from third class. The central government has decided to implement the teaching of AI in schools from class 3 onwards from the next academic year. Its purpose is to prepare children for AI in the future. School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that a pilot project has already been started to teach teachers to prepare lessons using AI tools. AI is already being taught in some CBSE schools.
Artificial Intelligence will be taught from third class onwards
The Education Ministry is going to include Artificial Intelligence in the school curriculum for all students from Class 3 and onwards from next year i.e. 2026-27. School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that CBSE is planning to include AI studies in all classes. He said that it will not be easy to prepare more than one crore teachers across the country to teach AI. We have to work quickly so that in the next 2-3 years both teachers and students are fully prepared with this technology.

Opportunity for 80 lakh new jobs
Sanjay Kumar told that a pilot project is already going on, in which teachers are being taught to prepare lesson plans using AI tools. He says that the government’s aim is to prepare not only the students but also the teachers for the digital future. At present, AI is being taught as a skill subject from classes 6 to 12 in more than 18,000 CBSE schools in the country. In classes 6 to 8 it is a 15-hour module, while in classes 9 to 12 it is taught as an optional subject.
This announcement was made during NITI Aayog’s AI and employment report. It was told in this report that about 20 lakh traditional jobs may be lost in the coming time, but if the right system is made then 80 lakh new jobs can also be created.
