When is the fast of Ahoi Ashtami?
According to the Hindu calendar, this year the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month is starting on 13 October 2025 at 12.14 pm. Whereas on 14 October 2025, this date is ending at 11.10 am. In such a situation, the fast of Ahoi Ashtami will be kept on 13 October this year.
Do not do this work on Ahoi Ashtami
Women keep the fast of Ahoi Ashtami. Do not eat anything throughout the day and do not drink water. During the fast, women should not use sharp and sharp objects. Do not do any work related to soil on the day of fasting. Women should not sleep at all during the fast. It is inauspicious to do so. Do not break in the middle after taking a pledge of fast. Avoid lying and quarreling during the fast. Follow celibacy from the beginning of Ashtami Tithi till the conclusion. During the fast, do not talk too much and chant mantras. Do not sit in bed from the beginning of Ashtami Tithi till the end. Both hair washing and cutting are forbidden on the day of fasting.
