Air India ahmedabad Crash: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court. In this, the Center has been demanded to disclose the complete data found from Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, who crashed in Ahmedabad on 12 June 2025. 260 people died in this deadly accident.
Questions raised on the initial report of the aircraft accident in the petition
In the petition filed by the NGO Safety Matters Foundation, some questions have been raised on the initial report issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation on the air accident. The petition stated that the report has failed to release all the data found in the initial phase of air accident investigation. This is necessary under the aircraft (investigating accidents and events) Rules, 2017. Therefore, it has demanded a complete disclosure of all the basic factual data related to the accident.
All reports including cockpit voice recorder should be public
The petition prayed, “Respondtations should be instructed to immediately make public all the basic factual data related to the accident and make it available to this honorable court. It includes all the recorded focus voice recorders (CVR) transcripts with full digital flight data recorders (DFDR) output, timestamp, and all recorded faults related to the respective aircraft.”
In addition, the petition also alleged that the only surviving passenger in the initial report has also failed to include or accept the testimony of 40 -year -old Lessestr businessman Vishkumar Ramesh. In addition, the petition insisted that the matter is not just investigating an alone accident, but is related to maintaining public confidence in the protection of civil aviation in India.
It further states, “When hundreds of lives are lost in the same disastrous incident, the country not only mourns the dead, but also sees the investigation process as a source of truth, accountability and this trust that such a disaster will not happen again. Therefore, not only the family of the victims, but every citizen who depends on the aviation as a means of transport.”

The petition also stated that under such circumstances, the need for a comprehensive investigation cannot be underestimated, as it affects the trust, honor and security rights and trust in the institutions of the people traveling under Article 21, which are made to protect them.
