Actor Ahan Shetty is all set to kick off his next action-drama, ‘Sanki,’ with principal photography commencing today, October 30, in Bhopal.
This comes after his recent appearance in ‘Border 2.’
The film, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, known for hits like ‘Rustom’ and ‘Mission Raniganj,’ promises a blend of romance, intense emotions, and high-octane action. Written by Gyanendra Vasudev, the storyline is currently under wraps, with more details expected to be revealed in the coming months. Director Desai and his crew have already arrived in Bhopal, ensuring all preparations are in place for a smooth start to the shoot.
Interestingly, the title ‘Sanki’ was previously registered by producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Reports indicate that Ahan Shetty personally approached Nadiadwala to secure the title for his new project, a move that was reportedly resolved amicably due to their cordial relationship. Nadiadwala willingly relinquished the title as a gesture of goodwill.
The film also stars Pooja Hegde and is backed by We The People, Roaring River Productions, and Pals & Peers Entertainment. ‘Sanki’ is slated for a theatrical release in the first half of 2027. Ahan Shetty, who debuted with ‘Tadap,’ recently spoke about the pressures of ‘Border 2,’ particularly the comparisons to his father Suniel Shetty’s iconic role in the original film.
