Unnao Bus Accident News: A major road accident occurred on Monday morning on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway passing through Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. A sleeper bus going from Delhi to Lucknow suddenly went out of control and collided with the divider and overturned. In this tragic accident, one woman died, while more than 22 passengers were injured. After the incident, there was chaos on the highway and hearing the screams, nearby people also reached the spot.
The accident happened at 7 in the morning, there were 52 passengers in the bus.
According to the information, this accident happened at around 7 am on Monday morning near kilometer number 239 of Agra-Lucknow Expressway. At that time a sleeper bus going from Delhi to Lucknow was at high speed. Suddenly the bus went out of control and overturned after hitting the divider.
There were a total of 52 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. Since it was early morning, most of the passengers were sleeping. As soon as the bus hit the divider, there was a strong shock and the bus overturned. After this there was screaming among the passengers.

Woman dies in accident, many passengers injured
In this accident a woman died on the spot. It is being told that the deceased woman was a resident of Lucknow. At the same time, more than 22 people have been injured. Many passengers were trapped between the seats due to the overturning of the bus.
The accident was so severe that some wheels of the bus broke and fell apart on the road. From this it can be estimated how strong the collision was.
Driver likely to fall asleep
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver may have fallen asleep as the reason for the accident. Police and administration are also investigating from this angle whether the bus driver was driving for a long time or not.
Police and UPEDA team reached the spot
As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police and UPEDA team immediately reached the spot. All the injured were sent to Bangarmau Community Health Center (CHC) with the help of ambulance. The condition of two of the injured passengers is said to be critical, who have been referred to Lucknow for better treatment. The remaining injured are being treated in the district hospital of Unnao. As soon as information about the incident was received, SDM Bangarmau Braj Mohan Shukla and Area Officer Santosh Singh reached the hospital and inquired about the well being of the injured. He instructed the doctors to provide better treatment to all the injured.
With the help of a crane, the police straightened the overturned bus and parked it on the side of the highway. After this the traffic on the expressway was normalized again. At present the police is investigating this entire matter. This accident is once again raising questions regarding issues like safety and driver fatigue in long distance bus journeys on the highway. The administration says that the real reason for the accident will become clear after the investigation report comes.
