New Delhi: Normally, we associate the art of making reels and vlogs with the younger people. But as the saying goes, there is no age to learn something, and a 70-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh has shown us how age is always just a number.
He had never done vlogging before. At the age of 70, he decided to do so, and his honest efforts have fetched him more than 22.2 million views on Instagram in just 48 hours. The old man has become an internet sensation, and has taught us that it is never too late for anything.
The vlog that started it all
Vinod Kumar from Uttar Pradesh shot his first video in a shy and gentle way. He introduced himself in the video and said that it was his first vlog, one he was making to try something new to pass his time.

He says in the beginning, “70 saal ki umar mein apna pehla vlog bana raha hoon.” Even though he is unfamiliar with the art of vlogging, he is trying, as he is looking to spend his time doing something meaningful. When he innocently said, “Mujhe vlog banana nahi ata par mai koshish kar raha hoon,” viewers were probably reminded of their own parents and grandparents, many of whom are also trying to figure out today’s trends.

Netizens have showered the old man with support and admiration in the comment section on Instagram after the video went viral. He shared the heart-warming video on January 20, 2026, and it has gained over 22.2 million views and 1.6 million likes so far. While one user reminded everyone of the old proverb, “Age is just a number, uncle,” another user said, “Hum aapke saath hai.” Another user said, “Believe me, Uncle Ji. Most of our parents are also like you. Mann khush kardiya apne.”
