Not only football players but also the fans are very enthusiastic. But some football fans in Finland have committed an incident which has surprised everyone. Tehtan Kenta, the home ground of the country’s famous club FC Haka, known as Factory Field in English, was set on fire on 7 December 2025. The incident occurred shortly after the club was relegated from the top division Veikkasliga, a move by angry fans that badly affected the club financially.

Heavy damage occurred in the stadium

The fire in the stadium caused huge destruction. The wooden stand with a capacity of 400 fans was completely burnt to ashes, where only the roof beams survived. Advertisement boards and some parts of artificial grass have also been heavily damaged. The good thing is that there were no casualties in this accident, but the financial loss to the club is yet to be calculated. FC Haka, one of Finland’s oldest and biggest clubs, has used this stadium as its home since the 1930s. This incident has not only tarnished the legacy of the club but has also raised questions about discipline and responsibility in the football community.

According to reports, the three fans who set the fire were below 15 years of age, who were present at the spot. Local police have confirmed his involvement, but under Finnish law he cannot be criminally prosecuted because he is a minor. However, they may be held liable for damages, as there is no minimum age limit for compensation for damages in Finland.
