Satyapal malik death: Former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satyapal Malik is no more. He breathed his last at the age of 79. Satyapal Malik held many important positions in a long political career over 50 years. Section 370 was removed when he was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. 1- Satyapal Malik was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir from August 2018 to October 2019. Meanwhile, on 5 August 2019, the special constitutional situation of Jammu and Kashmir was removed. By doing this, there was a risk of disturbance. A very tight security arrangements were made to maintain law and order. Political, social and administrative complications arose, they were dealt with.

4- Malik is handled by the long-standing political, cultural and religious division between the Hindu-dominated Jammu region and the Muslim-dominated Kashmir Valley.
5- After the dissolution of the State Legislature and the implementation of President’s rule, power came into their hands. It was a big challenge for him to maintain public confidence in the administration amid doubt and fear. He handled it very well.
6- After removing Section 370, Jammu and Kashmir suffered serious economic losses due to repeated shutdowns, curfews and internet blackouts. Tourism, business and everyday life were affected.
7- Section 370 removal and subsequent incidents made headlines worldwide. Malik and the administration had to clarify about the rights and security of the citizens.
8- After removing Section 370, there was a danger of infiltration and terrorist attack. For this, there was a constant vigilance and coordination with security forces.
