The Railway Men on Netflix is a highly acclaimed survival thriller series about railway workers who saved many lives during the 1984 toxic gas leak at a chemical plant in Bhopal. It is backed by YRF Entertainment, the digital wing of Yash Raj Films, and stars Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, and Babil Khan in key roles.
According to an exclusive report in Pinkvilla, YRF Entertainment is developing Tunnel Men, another survival thriller series based on the 2023 Uttarakhand tunnel rescue, one of India’s most famous rescue operations in recent times. In the incident, 41 workers were trapped inside a collapsed tunnel for about two weeks, a story that grabbed eyeballs across the country.
Tunnel Men will also reportedly stream on Netflix. Currently, the show is said to be in the pre-production phase. Shiv Rawail, who directed The Railway Men, is expected to be the showrunner.
