In July, Reliance Jio overtook Bharti Airtel for increasing the number of mobile customers, while Vodafone Idea and government company BSNL lost more customers. According to data released on Friday by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the country’s largest telecom company Jio added 4,82,954 customers, followed by the second largest telecom company Airtel Airtel added 4,64,437 customers. However, Vodafone Idea lost 3,59,199 customers, after which BSNL lost 1,00,707 customers. Another government company MTNL also lost 2,472 customers this month. MTNL provides services in Delhi and Mumbai and its network is maintained and operated by BSNL.

The number of customers of Jio has become so much

In late July, the number of wireless customers of Jio was 477.50 million, followed by Airtel’s 391.47 million, Vodafone Idea 203.85 million and BSNL’s 90.36 million customers. Talking about broadband (wired and wireless) customers, Airtel added the most 2.75 million customers, after that Jio added 1.41 million customers. Vodafone Idea also added about 0.18 million customers, while BSNL added 0.59 million customers. At the end of July, the number of broadband customers of Jio was 498.47 million, followed by Airtel’s 307.07 million, Vodafone Idea 127.58 million and BSNL had 34.27 million customers.

IPO will come in the first half of 2026
