Amandeep Singh, an ordinary young man from Jagraon, who dreamed of a better life in Canada. She married Ramandeep Kaur passed by Ilette in 2021. At the time of marriage, it was decided in both the families that Amandeep’s family would bear the entire cost of sending Ramandeep to Canada. In return, Ramandeep will call her husband permanently in Canada and get her settled there. Amandeep’s family spent Rs 33 lakh to fulfill this dream.
Cheating game and scattered dream
Amandeep even took a loan to send his wife to Canada, but when he himself reached Canada, his dream was shattered. Ramandeep not only refused to keep him with him, but also expelled him from the house. The destitute Amandeep had to wander on the streets of Canada. Eventually, after losing, he had to return to India empty -handed. This deception not only ruined his life, but also a debt of lakhs of rupees on his head.
Family took legal step
Seeing the condition of Amandeep, his father Gurdeep Singh lodged a police complaint against Ramandeep and his father Lakhwinder Singh, a resident of Machheke of Barnala. After investigation, the police registered a case of fraud in police station Hathur. DSP D. Inderjit Singh said that at the time of marriage, there was a written agreement between the two families that Amandeep’s family would bear the cost of sending Ramandeep to Canada, and in return she would make Amandeep permanent there. But this promise was broken.
The accused are absconding, police are searching
Currently, Ramandeep and his father Lakhwinder Singh are absconding. The police is looking for them. Amandeep faced many difficulties in Canada, and is now trying to overcome this deception with his family.
