After Sarzameen, Ibrahim Ali Khan Resumes Shooting For Dinesh Vijan’s Sports Drama Diler

Ibrahim Ali Khan has received a mixed response for his performance in his latest release, Sarzameen, directed by Kayoze Irani on JioHotstar. After the release, he is back on sets of his third film Diler, a sports drama, backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The upcoming movie is being helmed by Jannat fame Kunal Deshmukh and his wife Sonali Rattan Deshmukh. The makers shared behind-the-scenes photos of Ibrahim from a dubbing session on social media.

On Monday, Ibrahim Ali Khan reshared Sonali Rattan Deshmukh’s post on his Instagram story, featuring him in a recording studio. In the image, the actor is seen wearing headphones, seemingly recording something for the movie. Along with the post, she wrote, “Diler with @iak, every step of the way #diler @maddockfilms @kunaldeshmukh1.”

The upcoming movie Diler has been creating buzz for its casting. Fans are eagerly waiting to see who will be cast opposite Ibrahim as the female lead. In Kunal Deshmukh’s directorial, Ibrahim will be seen essaying the role of a marathoner. However, the plot and the cast of the movie are still kept under wraps by the makers.

Earlier this year, Ibrahim reportedly postponed the shoot of Diler after his father, Saif Ali Khan, was attacked by an intruder at his residence in Bandra on January 16. Now, he has resumed the shooting.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim shared screen space with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol in Kayoze Irani’s film Sarzameen, which was released on July 25 on the OTT platform JioHotstar. The film follows the story of an Indian Army officer, Colonel Vijay Menon (Prithviraj), who is devoted to his work and posted in Kashmir. He is torn between his duty and family after his son Harman (Ibrahim Ali Khan) joined a terrorist group. Kajol plays the mediator between father and son. The film marks Kayoze Irani’s directorial debut and his direction is backed by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Star Studios.
