Coimbatore: A shocking incident has come to light in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where a husband murdered his wife, who was working in a hostel after leaving him. The horrific incident took place at a working women’s hostel located on Raja Naidu Street near Gandhipuram. A 32 year old man committed this crime on Sunday morning. In this case, Rathinapuri police has arrested S Balamurugan, a resident of Tirunelveli. His 30 year old wife Shri Priya has been murdered. The accused has accused his wife Shri Priya of having illicit relations. After murdering him with a knife, accused Balamurugan took a selfie with the dead body and posted that photo as a status on his WhatsApp. After this he wrote, ‘The consequence of deception in marriage is death.’

After this, Rathinapuri police arrested S Balamurugan, a resident of Tirunelveli. According to an investigating officer, Balamurugan’s wife Sri Priya (30) was also a resident of Tirunelveli. Four months ago, she left her husband and went to Coimbatore due to differences between the two. There he started working in a bag shop on Cross Cut Road. She has a 10-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter, whom she left in the care of her husband Balamurugan. Balamurugan was the one taking care of those children.
Shri Priya had an affair with her husband’s relative
Sri Priya, who was staying in a working women’s hostel on Raja Naidu Street, meanwhile started an affair with Iskki Raja, a distant relative of Balamurugan. Its king was also married and had three children. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Sri Priya’s husband Balamurugan came to Coimbatore to meet her. She asked him to end her relationship with the Ikki king and live happily together again. But an official said Mr Priya refused to return to his village.

Meanwhile, when Iskki Raja came to know that Balamurugan had come to meet his wife Sri Priya, he sent a very close-up picture of Sri Priya and himself to Balamurugan on WhatsApp. This enraged Balamurugan. In this anger, he met Priya in the hostel after drinking alcohol and asked questions about that photo. Then there was a heated argument between the two. Suddenly, Balamurugan took out a knife from his bag and stabbed him, killing him on the spot.

As she lay in a pool of blood, Balamurugan took a selfie with her dead body and posted it as his WhatsApp status. On receiving the information, Rathinapuri police took possession of Mr. Priya’s body and sent it to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The police arrested Balamurugan, who was sitting near his wife’s body, and produced him in the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody. Overall, the mother of two’s affair ended in a murder, and now the father has gone to jail. At the same time, children have become orphans without both parents.
