Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was discussing with the victims on Friday, helping more than 28 thousand flood affected people from the Chief Minister’s residence Samvat Bhavan. During this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed the flood affected people of Shivpuri, Guna, Damoh, Raisen, Chhindwara. He took all the information about the arrangements made by the administration during the floods from the affected.

Bhagchand of Shivpuri, Radheshyam Saket of Mauganj, Hemraj of Damoh, Govind Singh Sen of Raisen, Chandramohan of Chhindwara and flood affected people from Guna and other districts said that the flood -like conditions had never arisen before. During the floods by the administration, arrangements were made for food etc. to the affected families along with food etc. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is our rites that people are keeping their point comfortably even in this hour of grief. He said that this time in the monsoon period, 37 percent more rainfall has been received so far, due to which floods like floods have been formed in many areas of the state. Social and religious organizations played an important role for flood victims

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the government had made arrangements in advance to deal with floods during the rains. State ministers and union ministers had made contact with everyone and arranged for management of rescue work in flood affected areas of the state. He said that SDRF, NDRF and army personnel were activated to deal with the flood crisis. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that social and religious organizations have also played an important role in helping the affected due to excess rainfall and floods. The Chief Minister thanked these organizations. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while sharing the experiences received during the visit to flood affected areas, said that two persons in Shivpuri were surrounded by 36 hours in the flood and they were taken out of the floods by the administration. These people said that they could get out of the floods from the efforts of the administration. Similarly, while meeting the flood affected women in Guna, the sisters first presented a rakhi to them. After this, he spoke of floods. He said that the sisters presented a rakhi before talking about their suffering, this is our culture.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that an amount of Rs 28 crore has been given to the overflows and flood affected people earlier, 30 crore has been given today. He said that this amount is except for crop damage. Crop damage is being surveyed in flood affected areas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that in the year 2025-26, the relief amount of 123 crore has been distributed to the affected people so far. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that sufficient amount has been provided to all districts for disaster management. Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma, Minister of State for Health and Medical Narendra Shivaji Patel, Principal Secretary Revenue Vivek Porwal were present at Samvat Bhawan at Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that the state has received 729.1 mm of rainfall so far, which is 37 percent more than normal, which has been rapid in a very short time. Guna, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Mandla and Ashoknagar recorded the highest rainfall. So far, there have been a total of 296 loss of life and about 1685 animals in this monsoon. Also, 299 houses have been reported to be completely damaged. About 4114 houses have also suffered partial damage. So far 61 relief camps have been run in the state, out of which 7345 people have been kept. At present, 02 relief camps are operational in Mauganj, with 175 people living. Most of the irrigation dams in the state are still filled around 40 to 90 percent and 04 dames are filled 100 percent. Along with this, toll free no-1079 has been arranged by the government to provide 24×7 assistance to the public in case of flood.
