Writer Shobha De claimed that the Deol family kept Hema Malini and her daughters away from Dharmendra’s prayer meeting. According to Dey, Hema handled the situation with dignity and did not make it a public issue.

The Deol family has sidelined Hema Malini and her two daughters. Now columnist and writer Shobha De has claimed that this was the reason why she was not even a part of Dharmendra’s prayer meet, which was organized by his first wife Prakash Kaur and sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

Shobha De said, ‘This must have been a very difficult decision. The relationship in which he invested 45 years of his life, maintained it and cherished it, he was completely thrown out by his first family. He had two daughters from this marriage. This must have hurt him a lot, but he kept it limited to his personal life. The way he handled it and whenever he did any public event, I think he handled it with complete dignity, not only for himself but also for the person he lost.

Hema Malini did not take advantage of this thing
Shobha told that Hema could have taken advantage of those emotional moments, but she chose dignity instead of competing for show. Shobha further said, ‘Hema herself is quite impressive, so her choosing Garima instead of showing off in public says a lot about her character. She could have easily taken advantage of those emotional moments immediately after Dharam ji’s demise. The media wanted to cover his every tear and every sob, invade his privacy and completely snatch away his dignity, which obviously means a lot to him.
Let us tell you that on November 27, a prayer meeting was organized for Dharmendra in Mumbai, which was organized by his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Hema and her daughters Isha and Ahana did not attend the prayer meeting. Instead, he organized a separate function to pay tribute to Dharmendra at his home on the same day.
