Diljit Dosanjh Hits Back Over Delhi Concert Chaos
After his performance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30, Diljit shared a glimpse of his introductory shot from the concert. Thanking his fans for their support, he wrote, “Spread the love, folks! Dosanjhwala has hit the big time in Delhi. Just sit back and wonder… how did this happen? Love my fans!”
The singer also addressed the people he believes tried to stop the concert from happening. Taking a dig at them, he wrote in another tweet, “I even had a direct word with God about this! I spoke to Him over the phone. I told Him, ‘There’s a show coming up…’ Some people really tried hard to make sure the show wouldn’t happen!”
He further spoke about the weather and how he had hoped the rain would stay away during the performance. Diljit added, “May God hold back the rain for 3-4 hours. Love my fans! I don’t bother responding to what many people say, because I don’t consider them worth my time. Don’t you worry, we’re going to absolutely crush it.”
His remarks came after the concert went ahead despite a brief uncertainty over permissions and security arrangements.

What All Happened In The Lead Up To The Delhi Concert
Diljit’s Delhi concert was scheduled to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30. However, the event faced uncertainty after the Delhi Police initially denied permission, citing specific threat-related inputs and security and law-and-order commitments during the festive season.
The development raised concerns among fans who had already booked tickets for the show. However, the organisers, BookMyShow Live, held discussions with the police and presented additional plans covering safety, traffic management, and crowd control. Following these discussions, the permission was reconsidered and issued, allowing the concert to proceed as scheduled.
