Border tension and Pakistan’s allegations
Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have remained tense following the withdrawal of US-led forces and the withdrawal of the Taliban government. Recently, many people were killed and a lot of damage was caused in the conflict on the border of the two countries. Pakistan has repeatedly alleged that the Taliban administration is harboring groups involved in attacks on security forces, including the TTP and its affiliates. In October itself, Pakistani security forces and police personnel were attacked by attackers from Afghanistan, killing more than 100 people. Due to this increasing violence and security concerns, Afghan refugees and migrants were sent back by Pakistan. Pakistan’s military also alleged that India was supporting TTP, which India has repeatedly denied. India’s External Affairs Ministry said Pakistan often blames its neighbors for its internal security challenges.
