New Delhi: Afghanistan is set to host Bangladesh for a white-ball series in the UAE after the Asia Cup 2025. The series will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is between the two nations.
Asia Cup 2025 will conclude on September 28, and immediately after that, both teams will go against each other in a T20I series starting from October 2. The second and third T20I games will be played on October 3 and 5.
Following the commencement of the T20I series, the ODI series will begin on October 8. Sharjah will host the T20I series, while the ODI leg will be played in Abu Dhabi.
The continuous rise of the Afghanistan team in white-ball cricket have raised the bar of their rivalry with all Asian teams, and they have also improved their record against Bangladesh in recent times. Both nations have played four bilateral ODI series against each other and shared the record at 2-2.
Afghanistan won the last two ODI series against the Bangla Tigers in 2023 and 2024. The T20I series record is also leveled at 1-1.

Fans can look forward to exciting matches and top-level competition,” Naseeb Khan, CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board said as quoted by Cricbuzz.
Afghanistan vs Bangladesh T20I series fixture:
1st T20I: October 2 in Sharjah
2nd T20I: October 3 in Sharjah
3rd T20I: October 5 in Sharjah
Afghanistan vs Bangladesh ODI series fixture:
1st ODI: October 8 in Abu Dhabi
2nd ODI: October 11 in Abu Dhabi
3rd ODI: October 14 in Abu Dhabi
Afghanistan and Bangladesh are placed in Group A alongside Sri Lanka and Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2025. Both teams will face each other on September 16 in Abu Dhabi.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board handed the captaincy to Rashid Khan for the multinational event and also recalled Naveen-ul-Haq after eight months. Whereas Litton Das has been announced as the skipper of the Bangladesh team for the Asia Cup 2025.
