Aditya Dhar was impressed by RGV’s comment
Responding to Ram Gopal Varma, Aditya said, “Sir… If this tweet were a film, I would have gone to see it in the first show on the first day, stood in the last row, and come out changed. I came to Mumbai years ago with a suitcase, a dream and the confidence that I would one day work with Ram Gopal Varma. That never happened. But somewhere, without knowing, I worked inside your cinema. Your films didn’t teach me how to make films – you taught me how to make such dangerous films.” Taught to think properly.”
He further said, “It is wonderful and emotional to hear you say that Dhurandhar is a quantum leap and to be honest, it feels a little unfair… because now whatever I do next will have to be at the level of this tweet.”

The director came to Mumbai because of Ram Gopal Varma.
The post read, “You were one of my favorite directors who made Indian cinema fearless, outspoken and lively. If there is even a little bit of his DNA in Dhurandhar, it is because the concept of your films was in my mind when I was writing and directing it.
“If I have considered the audience intelligent, it is because you taught an entire generation that cinema should never apologize for its ambition. Thanks for this generosity, this madness and this recognition. The fan in me is overwhelmed. The filmmaker in me feels challenged. And the boy who came to Mumbai to work under RGV… has finally got recognition.”
