Adani Power Limited has received approval from the Ministry of Coal, Government of India to extract Dhiruli mine coal located in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. There is 620 mmt coal reserves here. This will provide better raw material protection to Adani Power.

Adani power: Adani Power Limited, the largest thermal power producer company in India’s private sector, will be able to start work in Dhirauli mine located in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh. It has received approval from the Ministry of Coal, Government of India. This will provide better raw material protection to Adani Power.

The maximum production capacity of Dhirauli mine owned by Mahan Ergen Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Power, is 6.5 MTPA. Of these, 5 MTPA coal is extracted from open mines and the rest from under the ground. According to the geological report, this block has 620 MMT coal reserves. This will ensure supply, fuel security and operational stability for decades.

Adani can process the coal extracted from the mine within the power mining area as a part of the responsible mining initiative. This will not lead to impurities and inactive substances out of the mine area. There will be less damage to the environment. CEO SB Khyalia of Adani Power said,

We are reducing input costs by removing backwardness in source of raw materials. Along with this, they are also able to provide themselves electricity at competitive price for millions of consumers. Our commitment to develop the mine responsibly, focusing on long -term value creation for all stakeholders, remains unbreakable.

This is the first captive mine of Adani Power, which has received government approval to start mining. The mine’s open cast peak rated capacity (PRC) aims to get up to 2027. At the same time, underground mining is going to start after 9 years. Adani Power has a 30 -year mining lease for this block. Adani Power is expected to meet business power needs from Dhirauli block. Along with this, a great power plant of 1,200 MW nearby will also be supplied. This plant is being expanded. It is being made worth 3,200 MW power to generate power.
