Mumbai: Actor R Parthiban sparked a fresh discussion on social media after he took a jibe at Trisha at a public event. Parthiban, who was attending an awards show, was asked to share his opinions about actors he had worked with in the past.
When the photo of Trisha appeared on screen, he jokingly stated, “Indha Kundavaiye konjaneram kunthavaikkirathu nallath (It is better to ask this Kundavai to sit at home for a while).” He added, “It is better if she doesn’t step out because it is creating a lot of issues.”

The comment sparked a lot of attention. Many thought the comment was made in poor taste. The comment comes after Trisha was spotted with Thalapathy Vijay at a wedding reception. The two actors, rumoured to have had an affair, arrived together at the wedding reception of entrepreneur and film producer Kalpathi S Suresh and Meenakshi Suresh’s son in Chennai. The two wore matching outfits and seemed in good spirits.
The duo’s appearance broke the internet as it came days after Vijay’s wife, Sankgeetha Sornalingam, filed for a divorce from him.

Thalapathy Vijay’s divorce
In her divorce plea, she accused Vijay of an extramarital affair with an actress. She claimed that he used to take international trips with the actresses. Further, she accused Vijay of “persistent mental cruelty, neglect and desertion”.
Vijay responded to the divorce fiasco during a Women’s Day event. “There are some issues running around in the recent past, isn’t it? I see all of you busy fighting those allegations and getting hurt in the process. In fact, I get hurt seeing you get hurt. I will take care of all that. Let’s focus only on people’s problems. Don’t get hurt about that problem – it’s not worth bothering about. Be confident. Only good things will happen,” he said.
