IND vs AUS 2nd T20I: Young Indian opener Abhishek Sharma, who failed in the first T20 match against Australia, batted stormily in the second match and scored a half-century. In the second match of the T20 series in Melbourne, Abhishek scored his sixth half-century in just 23 balls. This inning of Abhishek was special because Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood had destroyed the top order of Team India. The Indian team had lost 5 wickets for only 49 runs and despite this, Abhishek scored this fifty while batting explosively. This is Abhishek’s first half-century against Australia and in Australia.
Team India came out to bat first in the second match of the series on Friday 31 October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Abhishek was out early in the last match but the story changed in the second match. This time, the batsmen of the Indian team kept losing wickets while trying to play big shots on the bouncy pitch of Melbourne. Star batsmen like Shubhman Gill, captain Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma were out on single digit scores.
The Indian team had lost 5 wickets for 49 runs in 7.3 overs but on the other side, Abhishek Sharma’s stormy innings continued. Out of these 49 runs, 34 runs were of Abhishek alone and that too came in 13 balls. But after this, Abhishek handled the innings with Harshit Rana and then scored an excellent half-century in the 13th over. Abhishek had hit 7 fours and 1 six in his innings.
