New Delhi: After two days of hospitalisation, dashing Indian opener Abhishek Sharma was finally discharged on Wednesday but still remains doubtful for the T20 World Cup clash against Namibia. India lock horns against Namibia in their second Group A clash in Delhi on Thursday, after winning their opener against the USA on last Saturday.
Abhishek, who couldn’t do much with the bat for the team during the first clash which India won, suffered a severe stomach infection which put him into the hospital. In the pre-match conference on Wednesday, his teammate Tilak Varma said a decision on the swashbuckling opener’s participation in tomorrow’s game has not yet been taken.

‘Abhishek has been discharged today. There is still time to decide on his participation for tomorrow’s game,’ Varma told reporters in New Delhi.
It is being learnt that Abhishek was unwell during India’s first match against the USA and his condition worsened after reaching Delhi for the second game. The 25-year-old attended the dinner at head coach Gautam Gambhir’s home on Sunday but left much earlier than the rest of his teammates, mentions a report in PTI.
