Abhishek has not yet made his debut in ODI and he is looking at Vijay Hazare Trophy as an opportunity. While veterans like Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are maintaining their place at the opening slot, Yashasvi Jaiswal is also in the race.
Jaiswal’s century against South Africa has further strengthened his claim, due to which chances are looking less for Abhishek Sharma. However, he wants to grab the attention of the selectors by scoring big scores in this domestic tournament. Despite the place being confirmed in the New Zealand series and World Cup team, the ODI team is yet to be announced. Therefore, Abhishek looks all set to make it to the ODI team on the basis of his performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
