Presently, Virat holds this record. The former India captain completed 1000 T20I runs in 29 matches. Dawid Malan tops the overall list (among full member nations). He completed the 1000-run mark in 24 matches. He is followed by Babar Azam, who took 26 matches.

The five-match T20I series between India and Australia is tied 1-1. The first game of the series didn’t have a result due to rain. Australia chased down the target of 126 in the second T20I to go 1-0 ahead in the series.
