Abhay Verma has become the new ‘National Crush’ in Bollywood. He was recently seen in the Netflix series Operation Safed Sagar. The emerging star has been receiving a lot of praise and love for his performance in the web series. Recently, Abhay Verma and Siddharth had an exclusive conversation with Zoom, where the actors opened up about their struggling days, stardom and much more. Abhay opened up about his first crush and revealed the most romantic thing he did in the past. The actor also shared his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone on the sets of King.
Abhay Verma On His First Crush
During a candid chat with fans on Zoom, was asked about his first crush. The actor said, “My first crush and love was Deepika Padukone, ma’am. Dreams do come true, as I met her on the sets of King.”
When asked about the most romantic thing he did in the past, Abhay revealed he would keep s posters under his pillow and sleep. He said, “The most romantic thing I have done is keep her pictures in my wardrobe and keep her posters under my pillow. I used to sleep with her posters.”
Abhay Verma Advises Youth To Dream Big
Abhay Verma has also seen a lot of struggle before becoming famous in Bollywood. He advised the youth to dream big for themselves and their family. He cited an example of Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Abhay feels proud to be an outsider.
The Munjya star said, “We always struggle. People do struggle in every field, not just in acting. I would just like to say, ‘Dream big’. There is no fun in dreaming small. I am sitting here because I dreamt big for me and my family.”
Abhay Verma further said, “I just believe Shah Rukh Khan sir also started from here once. He just dreamt big and worked hard. Now, he is in everyone’s hearts. The whole world knows him. Amitabh Bachchan sir also did the same. I am inspired by their journeys. I am here because of my fans. I wouldn’t have been sitting here if you didn’t watch Munjya and shower so much love on it.”
Abhay Verma is currently busy shooting for . He is reportedly paired opposite Suhana Khan in the film. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King also stars Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Raghav Juyal and others in key roles. King is slated to be released on December 24, 2026, in theatres.
