Bhojpuri actress Aamrapali Dubey recalled a humorous incident involving actors Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari from the sets of the 2012 Bhojpuri film Ganga Jamuna Saraswati during an episode of Bigg Boss 20.
Speaking to fellow contestants, Aamrapali narrated how a fight sequence featuring Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari was reportedly delayed for nearly six hours because the two actors could not agree on who should throw the first punch.
“I’ll tell you a story. You all will go crazy laughing,” Aamrapali said before recounting the incident.
According to the actress, Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari were playing rivals in the film and had to shoot a fight scene. However, the sequence could not begin because both actors had different interpretations of how the confrontation should start.
Aamrapali said Manoj Tiwari argued that since the police had arrived to arrest his character, the police should make the first move. Ravi Kishan, however, reportedly pointed to an earlier dialogue establishing that the location was his character’s territory and questioned how anyone could hit him first.
With the shoot at a standstill, Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, stepped in with a solution. Aamrapali said he suggested that both actors raise their hands as though they were about to punch each other, while he would move between them to stop the fight.
The discussion ultimately led to a compromise: Dinesh Lal Yadav would take the first punch, after which the fight sequence could proceed.
“After six hours, it was finally decided that Dinesh ji will get the first punch and then the fight will start. Otherwise the shoot will not go on,” Aamrapali recalled.
Directed by Harry Fernandes, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati was released in 2012 and featured Ravi Kishan, Manoj Tiwari and Dinesh Lal Yadav in prominent roles, alongside Rani Chatterjee, Pakhi Hegde and Rinku Ghosh.
In the film, Manoj Tiwari played Inspector Ganga Singh, Ravi Kishan portrayed Jamuna Prasad, while Dinesh Lal Yadav played Saraswatichandra.
