Fresh from the success of Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan’s journey continues to produce remarkable films. However, there was a time when his Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak had not yet been released, and he was not recognized.
It was also the early years of his relationship with Salman Khan, which began around 1987 and has lasted for decades. When they had not yet achieved fame in the industry, they were friends who played cricket together. Reflecting on one such match, where Aamir captained his “Paali Hill 11” team against Salman’s “Kutte 11”, the actor shared that Salman’s sixes in the final overs led his team to victory.

“Before we became actors, we had met a few times, but we weren’t part of the same circle. I had encountered him here and there through mutual friends. He was focused on fitness,” Aamir mentioned during an interview with Pinkvilla.
On Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan doing a film together
Aamir and Salman eventually collaborated in their only film to date, Andaz Apna Apna, in 1994. While the film became a cult classic comedy, audiences have since been eager for a reunion between the two stars or a sequel to the movie. In fact, many have also been hoping for a film featuring them alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Although there are no updates on the trio’s project, Aamir expressed what it would take for them to work together, should that opportunity arise.
“All three of us are very eager to do a film together. The right material and the right script need to come our way. If that happens, we’ll definitely make a film. Let’s hope. Fingers crossed!” he stated.
Aamir is currently seen portraying a basketball coach in Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual sequel to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par.
