Even without promotion, 520+ tickets have been sold across the country. The film has received excellent response from Raipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi-Mumbai. Usually advance booking of films opens a few days before the release, but the makers of this film started ticket sales 39 days before the May 1 release. The surprising thing is that even without any big promotion, the film is getting great response. Tickets are open in about 20 cities across the country and initial figures show that there is tremendous curiosity about the film.
‘One Day’ booking opened 39 days ago
According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, as soon as the advance booking of ‘Ek Din’ opened on March 23, people first thought that it was a technical glitch. But it soon became clear that this was a deliberate move by the makers. Ticket sales for one show each have been started in about 20 cities of the country. In Delhi-NCR, bookings are open on maximum 24 screens, while in Mumbai, tickets are available on 11 screens. Advance booking of the film is going on in 3 theaters each in Chandigarh and Pune. ‘Ek Din’ tickets are already being sold in each theater of cities like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Surat, Vadodara, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Amritsar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Udaipur, Prayagraj, Raipur, Patna, Gorakhpur and Jalandhar.

Great response to ‘Ek Din’ even without promotion
Interestingly, no major promotion has been done for ‘Ek Din’ yet, yet more than 520 tickets have been sold till 8 am on April 11. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the biggest surprise was the sale of 46 tickets at PVR City Center in Raipur. 37 tickets have been sold in Ahmedabad and 18 in Gorakhpur. About 20-20 tickets have been sold in many theaters of Mumbai and Delhi-NCR.

‘Ek Din’ producer Aamir Khan is always known for his different release strategy. This time too, breaking the traditional trend, he started advance booking of the film about 39 days in advance. This move is helping to build curiosity and word-of-mouth for the film, especially among the multiplex and B-centre audiences.
