Aakash Chopra Suggests One Change India Playing XI For 3rd T20I vs West Indies

India and West Indies will lock horns in the third T20I of the five-match series in Indore on Sunday (October 11). The series is level at 1-1 and the winning team in the second game will take a 2-1 lead.

Ahead of the all-important game, Aakash Chopra suggested a change in India’s playing XI and he wants the Men in Blue to play Prince Yadav instead of Naman Dhir. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said that Naman hasn’t done anything wrong but the situation demands a bowler in the playing XI.

“Naman Dhir didn’t have a huge role as a bowler in the previous match. He might not have a big role as a bowler in this match either. Once again small ground, and dew could be a factor. He picked up three wickets in the first match for sure, but no one is getting to bat at the number he bats,” Chopra said.

“Can you leave him out in such a scenario? Can you play Prince Yadav in his place? It’s a slightly left-field selection because Naman Dhir hasn’t done anything wrong. However, is that a possibility, because in bat-vs-bat contests, a potent bowling spell changes the match?” he added.

Prince has been on the bench in the series so far, as Mayank Yadav is sharing the new ball with Arshdeep Singh. Mayank gave India a dream start in the second T20I and scalped 2 wickets in the first over. The visitors bounced back and chased down the target of 240 with nine balls left.

India kicked off the series with a comfortable win in Lucknow. Courtesy of  Iyer’s unbeaten century, India chased down the target of 172 in only 14.4 overs at the loss of just two wickets.

Toss to play crucial role again

Once again, the toss will be the deciding factor and the team batting second will have an advantage. The dew factor and flat wickets have made it easy for the batters in the second innings. Neither India nor West Indies have been able to defend the target in the series thus far. India won the three-match ODI series 2-1.
