AAI observes Yatri Sewa Diwas 2025 with nationwide passenger-centric activities

New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) observed #YatriSewaDiwas 2025 on 17th September 2025, at all its airports and establishments across the country. This initiative is dedicated to enhancing passenger experience, reaffirming AAI’s commitment to providing world-class services and creating a seamless travel environment. The inaugural function was held at Hindon Airport in August presence of Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu where he interacted with the passengers and highlighted the efforts and developments of India aviation sector in the last 11 years. He said that the Ministry of Aviation is continuously progressing under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

This year’s observance featured a wide range of passenger-centric activities such as cultural performances, quiz and painting competitions, blood donation camps and airport decorations highlighting the day’s theme. Arrival passengers were warmly welcomed with gestures of hospitality, while health-oriented initiatives including free medical check-ups and awareness drives were also be conducted.

In line with this spirit, community engagement activities like tree plantation drives under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, felicitation of senior citizens, and interactive sessions with students and local stakeholders were formed as part of the celebration. These efforts reflect AAI’s vision of strengthening the connect between airports and the communities they serve. Public-Private Partnership and Joint Venture Airports in the country also participated in the event.

Yatri Sewa Diwas underlines the importance of passenger comfort, safety, and satisfaction as the core of aviation services. The day also served as a platform to showcase AAI’s ongoing initiatives aimed at making Indian airports more inclusive, sustainable, and passenger-friendly.
