In today’s digital era, Aadhar card has become the most important identity of every citizen of the country. From opening a bank account to availing the benefits of any government scheme, none of your important work can be completed without this single document. In such a situation, if this important card gets lost or stolen, it is natural for the common man to get worried.
How to get Aadhar without mobile number?
The problem becomes even more serious when the card holder does not remember his Aadhaar number and no mobile number is linked to it. In this situation you are unable to download it online sitting at home. However, there is no need for you to panic. To solve this complex problem, you will have to visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center of your area.
After reaching the enrollment center, you will have to give your 28 digit enrollment ID number to the employee there. This important number is written on the receipt which was given to you when you got your Aadhaar card made for the first time. On the basis of this number, the employee present there will proceed with the necessary process to ensure your identity.
During verification, the employee will scan your fingerprints or eyes and ask you for some basic information like your name or address. After all the information is matched correctly, you will be provided a copy of e-Aadhaar. You do not need any big expenditure for this entire process, rather you can get your document by paying a fee of only Rs 30.
Method of online download when mobile number is linked
On the other hand, if your mobile number is already registered with your Aadhaar card, the situation is completely opposite and much simpler. In such a situation, you do not need to visit any centre. You can easily download a new Aadhar card through your smartphone or computer while sitting at your home.
To start this online process, you will first have to visit the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). After reaching the homepage of the website, you will have to search for the ‘My Aadhaar’ section. After going inside this section, you will see an important option of ‘Retrieve Lost or Forgotten UID/EID’ on your screen which you have to click on.
After clicking on this option, on the new page that opens, you will have to carefully enter your full name, date of birth and mobile number or email address linked to Aadhaar. As soon as you submit this information, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number or email ID for security. Fill this OTP correctly in the given box.
As soon as you enter the correct OTP on the website and submit, all your Aadhaar related details will immediately appear on your computer or mobile screen. Additionally, your e-Aadhaar card will be sent directly to your registered email ID from where you can save it. The most comforting thing is that there is no fee to avail this complete online service.
