Bihar News: A case that puts humanity to shame has come to light in Narkatiaganj of West Champaran district. In Shikarpur police station area, a minor girl was sexually exploited for a long time on the pretext of marriage.
During the Panchayat, the family members of the accused not only demanded a bike and huge cash as dowry for the marriage, but also broke the relationship when the demand was not met. Taking immediate action on the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police arrested the main accused Nitish Kumar and sent him to jail.
Sexually exploited after luring into love trap
According to the information received, Nitesh Kumar, resident of Kesariya village, had trapped a minor girl in his love trap. The accused physically exploited the girl for a long time by showing her the golden dream of marriage. When the victim pressurized her to accept the relationship socially and get married, the accused kept evasiveness every time.
The dignity of Panchayat is intact
When the matter came to light, a panchayat was called in the village. The family of the victim, who had reached the Panchayat in the hope of justice, was deeply shocked when the accused crossed the limits of shamelessness and demanded a bike and cash as dowry in lieu of marriage. The victim’s family was financially weak, due to which they were unable to meet this demand. After this the accused party flatly refused to marry.

After the panchayat failed, the victim’s mother gathered courage and lodged a written complaint at Shikarpur police station. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, station in-charge Jwala Kumar Singh immediately registered an FIR and handed over the command of the investigation to female researcher Ekta Sagar. On the basis of solid evidence, the police conducted a raid on Friday and arrested the accused Nitesh Kumar. In this regard, Shikarpur police station incharge Jwala Kumar Singh clearly said, “We have a policy of ‘zero tolerance’ in crimes against women and children. The accused has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. Strict action will be ensured in the case on the basis of scientific and legal evidence.”
