A village where Hanuman ji’s name is forbidden
There is a place in India where Rama is worshiped but worshiping Hanuman ji is forbidden here. There is neither a temple of Hanuman ji nor does he take any name. There is no devotee of Hanuman far and wide here, not only that people also avoid names like Hanuman, Bajrang, Sankatmochan and Maruti, but why?
The story behind this is related to the Ramayana period. There is a village named Dronagiri in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. It is also forbidden to take the name of Hanuman ji in this village. There is no idol of Hanuman, no temple here. Ram ji is worshiped here, but the residents of Hanuman are angry since the Ramayana period. People here do not worship Hanuman, but Rama’s enemies worship Nimba demon.
Its wires are associated with Ramayana period
According to beliefs, its story is related to the Ramayana period, it is said that when Laxman ji became unconscious in the war with Ravana, Hanuman ji came to this village to take Sanjeevani Booti. While searching for the booty, Hanuman ji could not understand which booty to take and he had brought the whole mountain to save the life of Laxman ji because only Sanjeevani could save Laxman ji’s life.
The local deity here did not forgive Hanuman ji
After Hanuman ji, the local deity Latu Devta did not forgive him. Local believes that Hanuman ji did not take permission before uprooting the mountain and at that time his mountain deity was in Sadhana. Hanuman ji had uprooted the right hand of the mountain deity, due to which even today people here have not been able to forgive Hanuman ji. This is the reason that people here do not worship Hanuman ji nor take his name.
