A student preparing for JEE Main jumped from the 10th floor – was it because of exam pressure, loneliness or something else?

Shocking Exam Pressure Case: 17-year-old JEE student committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor in Faridabad. Even after scoring 95% marks, she was struggling with exam pressure and depression. No suicide note found – was it just stress or was the story deeper than this?

JEE Main Suicide Case: Adore Society, located in Sector 88, Faridabad, was in a panic on Wednesday evening when a 17-year-old girl preparing for JEE Main committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor. The girl had scored 95% marks in 12th and was under immense stress after not being able to clear JEE Main in the second attempt. Initial investigation has confirmed depression, but no suicide note has been found, which makes this case even more mysterious.

The student was alone at home, then reached the 10th floor

The girl’s mother and younger brother were not at home at the time of the incident. According to the police, the student took the lift from the third floor and went straight to the 10th floor and jumped after a few minutes. The guard present at the gate of the society ran after hearing the loud noise and saw the girl soaked in blood. The family immediately took him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.

Was under stress after failing in JEE Main

Police investigation revealed that the student had given her first attempt for JEE Main last year, but she did not pass. After this she lived under constant pressure and despair. The family understood this change and he was also being treated for depression in a hospital in Delhi.

Police did not find any suicide note&Is the story bigger than this?

Officials say that no suicide note has been found yet, which further complicates the reason behind the incident. However, preliminary investigation by the police suggests that exam stress and mental pressure could be the main reasons for this death.

Questions raised again on education system and pressure

This matter once again raises the question whether our competitive exam system is putting unbearable pressure on children? If a talented student who scored 95% marks ends her life due to stress, then whose responsibility is it?
